What is so special about the land of the living that people are so afraid to die and leave it behind? People wake up every morning complaining, lamenting, fighting, and hustling in this life. People go about talking about how difficult life is, how painful life is and how the ones they love have died and about there not being any love left in the world but they are so scared to leave this world behind.
The greatest threat any human can make to another and will leave even the most powerful man begging for mercy is the threat of death. Even with the event of them loosing everything they have worked for looming over their heads, they are not ready to depart from this world.
Now I know a great argument for people holding on to life is hope, hope for a better tomorrow, hope in God but life right now has not shown us that there is indeed a better tomorrow, many have died still waiting for a better tomorrow. Hope in God? many people claim to believe in God but their way of life is sooooo different from how a person who believes they are accountable to a higher power should live. Infact, I believe if you believe and have hope in God you should be in a hurry to do your “works” on this earth and make a quick exit to be with the one you serve who has promised you a life free from pain, suffering, sickness and all other problems that this world we are in seems to have abundance of.
All predictions for the future right now all tell of worse things to come, humanity is lost and humans now behave like beasts and have lost this humanity that has kept us going until now, what will keep us going now that humanity is lost and faith in God has been lost? Who do we run to ? Who will save us? Death seems to be a sweet escape that no one wants, why? We will never know.
